Variable Precision Waveguide Attenuators

  These precision variable attenuators with a range of 0 to 40 dB at a maximum VSWR of 1.15 are designed to provide an extremely accurate, completely shielded attenuating device, having excellent stability regardless of age or wide variations in humidity and temperature.*  They are widely used for padding purposes, for precisely controlling R.F. flow as a power setting device in waveguide networks.
  These instruments incorporate precision metallized attenuating elements of the parallel vane type, which are bilaterally matched to provide low VSWR values over the frequency range of the unit.  Attenuation is controlled by means of a smooth operating mechanism which is free of backlash or play.  A counter-clockwise rotation of the control knob increases attenuation.  Alternate flanges and materials are available.  See flange section.  Finish is instrument gray enamel.
